THE LAOIS GAA Executive will put forward former Westmeath boss Tomas O’Flaharta up for confirmation as the next manager of their county footballers.
The county posted the news online this evening and added that the next, official county meeting will be the setting for O’Flaharta’s role to be confirmed.
The Kerry native managed Westmeath from 2005 until 2009 after succeeding the late Páidí O’Sé. He lead that team to National League Two titles in 2006 and 2008.
He took over the Galway footballers in 2010 but last just a year in the role. The Tribesmen were relegated to the second division of the National Football League on his watch.
