SO WHICH OF these hurling strikes to the net caught your eye in 2017?
Kilkenny’s TJ Reid, Waterford’s Austin Gleeson and Clare’s Conor McGrath all raised green flags in an eye-catching fashion.
Away from the inter-county stage there were superb goals at club level by Ballyea’s Niall Deasy, Cuala’s Con O’Callaghan and Na Piarsaigh’s David Dempsey.
In all there are 15 strikes in contention for TG4′s Cúil na Bliana award, the annual programme that will air this year on the Irish language station at 5pm on New Year’s Eve.
Here’s the shortlist, let us know your favourite goal and get involved in the voting here.

Barron vs Kilkenny definitley
@800yearsofoppresion:
Some amount of Clare goals!
They promised so much but were unlucky in that they met Cork at their peak and then Tipp are in the top 2.
Clare would be my outside bet to cause a surprise next year. That new Duggar lad is amazing
@Seamus McSpud: It’s the way they play tho, with their intricate passing it’s going to create some lovely goals every so often. No good if it doesn’t win you big games
Gleeson versus Cork, pure genius.
Jamie Barron v KK. The significance of the goal on the night & the sheer beauty & artistry of the footwork & skill is just a joy to watch.
Pure magic
Love Barron’s goal against Kilkenny. Switch of the hands – class.
Ray: relaxed with them big words .I give it to TJ Reid. Great finish.
Loved Gleeson’s goal against Cork but I’d go for Shane Bennett’s against Kilkenny! Some strike! BY God!!
Conor McGrath hands down. Some goal. To be able to stick goal past Anthony Nash from that far out on Munster final day was pure genius
Gleeson
