Eamonn O'Shea names 3 championship newcomers for Munster SHC semi-final

Tipperary take on Limerick in Semple Stadium tomorrow.

THOUGH LIMERICK OPTED for experience in naming no-newcomers in their starting XV, Tipperary manager Eamonn O’Shea has decided to hand championship débuts to three players ahead of their Munster Senior Hurling Championship semi-final tomorrow.

Cathal Barrett (Holycoss-Ballycahill) will start at corner-back while Upperchurch Drombane’s James Barry will make his first championship appearance for Tipp at number five.

The other fresh face is Niall O’Meara of Kilruane MacDonagh’s who starts alongside Noel McGrath and Seamus Callanan in the full-forward line.

Portroe’s Darren Gleeson will continue in goals after making the position his own this season following the retirement of Brendan Cummins.
