Maher ruled out as Tipp reshuffle for Dublin decider

Premier boss Eamon O’Shea has made four changes for Sunday’s game against Dublin.

PADRAIC MAHER HAS been ruled out of Tipperary’s relegation showdown with Dublin through injury.

Maher was one of Tipp’s better performers in the defeat to Galway but he’s ruled out of Sunday’s Division 1A clash in Semple Stadium as is Conor Kenny (illness).

Manager Eamon O’Shea makes four changes in total with Darragh Egan starting in goal in place of Darren Gleeson.

Conor O’Brien, Kieran Bergin and Jason Forde start in place of Maher, Kenny and Michael Heffernan.

Tipp have just two points to show from their first four games but a win over Anthony Daly’s Dubs on Sunday could be enough to haul them out of the relegation places, depending on other results.

Tipperary (SH v Dublin): Darragh Egan (Kildangan); Paddy Stapleton (Borris-Ileigh), Conor O’Mahony (Newport), Cathal Barrett (Holycross-Ballycahill); Conor O’Brien (Eire Og Annacarty), Brendan Maher (capt, Borris-Ileigh), Michael Cahill (Thurles Sarsfields); Kieran Bergin (Killenaule), Shane McGrath (Ballinahinch); John O’Dwyer (Killenaule), Noel McGrath (Loughmore-Castleiney), James Woodlock (Drom & Inch); Jason Forde (Silvermines), Seamus Callanan (Drom & Inch), Patrick Maher (Lorrha-Dorrha).
