TIPPERARY GAA OFFICIALS could confirm over that weekend that Eamon O’Shea will be in charge of the county’s senior hurling team in 2015.
It is understood that O’Shea has told players that he is staying on for a third season in charge, despite fears that he would step down following last month’s All-Ireland SHC final replay defeat to Kilkenny.

And that news could be announced by Premier County top brass as early as Sunday, when Semple Stadium hosts the county SHC semi-finals.
O’Shea has opted to see out the last year of a two-year term that was agreed after the 2013 championship.
Following an All-Ireland SHC qualifier defeat against Kilkenny, O’Shea sought a two-year extension after his debut year at the helm.
The Galway-based Professor of Economics is highly thought of by Tipp’s players and the news that he is willing to commit again will come as a massive relief to board officials, who had no obvious replacement to turn to.
It is expected that O’Shea will retain the services of assistant manager Michael Ryan and coach Paudie O’Neill.
There may be changes to the extended backroom team and team doctor Kevin Delargy has already indicated that he is stepping down due to other work commitments.
A Tipperary county board meeting is scheduled for next Wednesday, and if it hasn’t been revealed by then, O’Shea’s extended tenure will be rubber-stamped.
