Cork
Midleton have been dumped out of the Cork senior hurling championship by UCC in tonightโs Round 4 clash at Pรกirc Uรญ Rinn.
UCC, who last lifted the title in 1970, will now face Sarsfields in the quarter-final to complete next weekendโs last eight line-up.
In an enthralling clash, scores from Conor Lehane and Luke OโFarrell left Midleton leading by 1-20 to 1-18 with a minute of normal time remaining. But the students finished strong, with Mark Coleman, Colm Spillane and Jamie Barron all on target as the eked out a narrow 1-22 to 1-20 win.
Some talent the lad.
@Patrick Doherty: if he plays his cards right and keeps going the way he is going he might be looked at for a sub on the Leinster B team down the road.
