Is it time for Chelsea to sack Jose Mourinho?

The Portuguese coach has slumped to a record-breaking seven league defeats this season.

CHELSEA’S 1-0 DEFEAT to Stoke on Saturday meant that for the first time in his managerial career, Jose Mourinho has lost seven league matches in a single season.

The rumours surrounding Mourinho’s future have consequently gone into overdrive of late.

After the papers previously suggested Jose Mourinho had two games to save his job, The Daily Star now reports that the Special One will be given more time to improve matters.

Meanwhile, The Sun reports that Mourinho is convinced he can turn the Blues’ season around provided he is given time and allowed to sell some of the club’s underperforming stars in January.

The Telegraph estimates that Chelsea’s poor season could cost them as much as £100million, which includes £10million to sack Mourinho and £15million to recruit his potential replacement — Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone.

In addition, The Daily Mirror claims plans are already in place to install former Argentina international Simeone as boss in the summer, while The Daily Mail suggest Pep Guardiola is in the frame to replace Mourinho.

With all that in mind, what do you think? Should Chelsea sack Mourinho? Let us know by voting in our poll or commenting below.
