WAS IT REALLY three years ago that Tim Tebow was throwing out more Hail Mary’s than a harried priest at the first confessional after a particularly rowdy St Patrick’s Day?
Yes it was. Alas, Tebow’s career has tanked somewhat in recent years as he was first placed on Rex Ryan’s special teams at the New York Jets before riding the New England Patriots’ pine for much of 2013. His year ended with a new contract, with ESPN as a college football analyst.

A new season is on the horizon, however, and Tebow is still clinging onto his dreams of an NFL comeback. To that end, the 26-year-old quarterback has been training in Scottsdale, Arizona at Ian Danney’s gym.
Tebow insists he is still capable of winning matches for an NFL team and is grateful for his religious faith during his time in the wilderness. “One of my favourite quotes is ‘I don’t know what my future holds but I know who holds my future’,” he said. “In that, it gives you peace to continue to work and go after what your heart desires.”
Tebow is also throwing himself headlong into a fitness and training regime that includes hoiking a 10-pound medicine ball around a sand-covered volleyball court. This is Top Gun but taken to a hypersonic Mach 6. Check out the video clip:
