Tim Tebow hits a home run in his first minor league at-bat

The former NFL quarterback is trying his hand at a new sport.

We know from his short, but high-profile, NFL career that he has a flair for the dramatic and that has carried over into baseball.

The former Denver Broncos quarterback was signed by the New York Mets last year, and made his professional debut last night, batting seventh and playing left field for the Columbia Fireflies.

So of course he went and hit a home run — after some deliberation — on his very first at-bat for the South Atlantic League side against the Augusta GreenJackets:
