AN NFL ROOKIE was in the right place at the right time yesterday to help save a family and their dog from a burning car.
Jonathan “Tig” Willard was on his way to the Tennessee Titans’ training camp when he spotted smoke coming out of the car in front of him.
With the help of another passerby, Willard managed to alert the woman driving the car and get her and her three young children to safety.
“There was probably two and a half or three minutes after we got everybody out of the car that the car exploded,” Willard told WPDE Sports on Tuesday.
“The whole time it was just adrenaline pumping, not feeling nothing. I was just doing a job.”
