AIDEN McGEADY IS high on confidence and that’s good news for the Republic of Ireland ahead of the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Wales in a fortnight’s time.

Yesterday, McGeady was named player of the month in the Sky Bet Championship after chipping in with three goals and four assists for Preston North End in February.

The tricky winger was been thriving while playing regularly since arriving at Deepdale in August. As you can see from the footage above, it’s no surprise that he has become a fan favourite at the Lancashire club.
