Bosnia's hoola hoops and Jack Carty's shorts - It’s Comments of the Week

Here are some of your wittiest offerings, dear readers…

THE LAOIS COUNTY board kicked up a bit of a fuss when next year’s Leinster SFC quarter-final was fixed for a neutral venue, but as Beano pointed out, they shouldn’t even be focusing on the Dubs yet:

Wicklow team just need to print off this story and stick it to the dressing room wall. No additional motivation required.

Bill P Danger wasn’t too impressed by Paddy Jackson and Simon Zebo’s latest lip-sync efforts:

Day job, lads… You’re both actually really good at your day job.

Ger seemed to have Bosnia’s tactics sussed after reading one of our analysis pieces ahead of the first leg:

Going by the first picture I’d be more concerned that the Bosnians seem to be able to throw giant red hoola hoops around opposing players and not be sanctioned.

Eoin McDevitt’s no-nonsense interview with Jim McGuinness on Second Captains received plenty of praise, including this from Mike Murphy:

Was one of the best sports interviews I have seen in a long time. Fair play Eoin. Didn’t need to ask the hard questions on what is usually a very light entertainment type show.

Padraig Corcoran spotted one key flaw in Kieron Dyer’s involvement on I’m A Celebrity…:

He will probably miss the whole thing with injury.

After Wayne Rooney slapped WWE wrestler Wade Barrett, this comment from Christopher Brazil was inevitable, but still good:

That’s the only target he’s hit this season!

It’s absolutely freezing in Siberia (shocker!) but that was no problem to Jack Carty who broke out the shorts as Connacht arrived for their Challenge Cup engagement. Eoin McDowell was suitably impressed:

Carty in shorts… Either he’s incredibly brave or has a screw loose!
