The YouTube chart: is this a dream, is this a fantasy, Rog?

Ronan O’Gara sings his little lungs out, David Beckham double jobs at Old Trafford and a Derrick Rose dunk is as sweet by any other name.

1. Ronan, Ronan, Ronan. Several Irish rugby stars were all a-Twitter about this new ‘viral’ video last night.

Munster and Ireland man Ronan O’Gara sings Queen (and you thought he didn’t like her) while ferrying a couple of lads around the place. I honestly haven’t been able to get to the end so there might be a twist.

2. Boom! Who said baseball was a no-contact sport?

One of the game’s best, San Francisco’s Buster Posey (perfect baseball name, incidentally) was flattened at home plate last night.

Scott Cousins scored the go-ahead run in a brutal collision with Posey in the 12th inning, injuring the Giants star catcher in a 7-6 loss to the Florida Marlins.

The Giants said they’ll know how bad it is tomorrow after tests.

Watch here and, incidentally, check out this sick double play.

3. If it’s the end of the season, it’s awards time.

The excellent 101greatgoals runs down their favourite assists from the past year. This is ours.

4. Many of us turned a tear-stained cheek towards out childhoods last weekend when news of Randy Savage’s demise reached us.

I spent my Saturday afternoon watching some of his old matches. I know it’s not strictly sport – but Macho Man v Ricky Steamboat sure is entertainment. Dig it? (More here)

5. Cork and All-Ireland hurling champions Tipperary meet in Thurles on Sunday in a game that will hopefully spark the summer to life.

Despite the Blair Witch footage, a match like that in 1991 would be welcome.

6. David Beckham upstaged his good friend Gary Neville at the Old Trafford legend’s testimonial game on Tuesdey night.

And he managed to steal the spotlight from the stadium stewards too.

7. At least it wasn’t as dramatic as this fan invasion however. A spectator assaulted Helsingborgs goalkeeper Pär Hansson during a Swedish league match.

Hansson’s side had just scored the first goal in the 30th minute of an away match at Malmo. The home fans then apparently threw a firecracker that landed near him. Hansson was being treated for the loud noise when a fan stormed the pitch and shoved the keeper from behind before being taken down by players and police.

8. We’ve loved every minute of the NBA play-offs this year. The Chicago Bulls could well be dumped out tonight by the Miami Heat but Derrick Rose has given us a season full of moment like this on Tuesday night.
