Leopardstown Festival: The Tullow Tank keeps on rolling

The Philip Fenton trained five-year-old, named after Irish rugby star Sean O’Brien, showed all the toughness of the powerful flanker to continue his unbeaten run over hurdles, being pushed along before the second last and finding plenty on the run in to run out an impressive eight-length winner.
Paddy Power cut the winner from 16/1 to 12/1 for both the Supreme Novices and the Neptune Hurdle at Cheltenham in March and trainer Fenton was very pleased with his charge afterwards.
“That was very satisfactory,” he said. “About two or three things were not going that smooth but that changed up the straight. He put the race to bed like a really good horse.
“He’ll probably come back here for the Deloitte. He’s a huge improver compared to this time last year, and the summer off has really crowned him. He looked okay going left-handed there but it was hard to know with the wind being so strong. He’ll be entered in both the 2m and 2m4f races at Cheltenham, and it may depend on the ground which one he goes for.”
