The NBA player who blew $10,000 on lottery tickets: it was 'either that or blowing it in the clubs'

You have to respect his honesty.

WASHINGTON WIZARDS ROOKIE Chris Singleton bought $10,000 in Mega Millions tickets last week.

“It’s an investment, guys,” he explained on Twitter.

But even though his investment came up snake eyes, Singleton has no regrets, the AP reports.

Here’s perhaps the greatest first sentence in Associated Press history:

“Washington Wizards rookie Chris Singleton says it was worth it to buy $10,000 worth of tickets for last week’s Mega Millions lottery, adding it was ‘either that or blowing it in the clubs.’”

Those would be strip clubs, we’re guessing.
