The Morning Score: Tuesday

Robbie looks East, one GAA legend moves on and fat men of the world slowly applaud a new hero.

EVERY MORNING, TheScore.ie brings you the sport stories you need to know with your morning coffee.

1. #HAPPY HAMMER? Yesterday we alluded to the speculation linking Ireland skipper Robbie Keane with a move to Upton Park.

Today, the Irish Independent reports, West Ham will offer the Tallaght man an attractive three-year deal at the end of a six-month loan – if Keane helps the Hammers avoid relegation.

2. #REBELS Sean Óg Ó hAilpín says he is coming to terms with his enforced exit from the intercounty fray.

The Irish Examiner’s Fintan O’Toole reports that the former Rebel star is content with the contribution he made.

3. #MUNSTER As reported here last evening, Paul Warwick will leave Munster at the end of the season.

4. #PREMIER LEAGUE Everton went to Eastlands last night and won last, denying Man City top spot for Christmas.

The Toffees were 2-0 up after 20 minutes but when Victor Anichebe was sent off, city pulled one back through a Phil Jagielka own goal.

But the visitors held on and Kolo Toure was also dismissed late on for a second yellow card.

The defeat casts real doubt on Roberto Mancini’s title aspirations.

5. #DEAL It had been better news for City earlier in the evening as it emerged that the unsettled striker Carlos Tevez had agreed a truce with club chiefs .

The Argentine withdrew his transfer request and wore the captain’s armband against David Moyes’ men hours later.

6. #HEINEKEN CUP In the game that was played behind closed doors and a day later than planned, Edinburgh sealed an impressive win in France last night.

Simon Webster’s late try helped the Scots hold off a second-half fightback from Castres to claim their first Heineken Cup win from four attempts at an empty Murrayfield.

7. #RACING Kauto Star will face a maximum of 13 rivals when he attempts to win his fifth consecutive William Hill King George VI Chase at Kempton on St Stephen’s Day

8. #GOOD YEAR Graeme McDowell was, unsurprisingly, named ‘Professional of the Year’ in the AIB Irish Golf Writers’ Association Awards for 2010.

9. #FAT MAN We’ll learn what this amazing footage is all about in Steven O’Rourke’s bi-weekly NFL column this morning.

There’s hope for us all, gentlemen.
