The Morning Score: Friday

Here’s all we need to know to stay ahead of the game this weekend.

1. #EURO 2012 Giovanni Trapattoni is announcing his squad, as we speak.

We’ll have all the reaction from Abbotstown as soon as it happens but for now - there’s no room for Anthony Stokes and Leon Best.

Making the announcement, the Ireland manager said, “There is no room for complacency as we prepare for our two games next month. We will remember that Estonia have as much right to be in the play-off as ourselves. They have had some very good results in their group beating Serbia and Slovenia. They also caused Italy a lot of problems. These games will be a huge challenge for us, and we must maintain the correct mentality from start to finish.”

2. #INTERNATIONAL RULES Ireland will get the 2011 Series off to a start against Australia at the Etihad Stadium in the next half an hour or so. We’ll go mark-by-mark throughout.

3. #AIRTRICITY LEAGUE It’s the final weekend of League of Ireland action tonight but we already know where the Premier Division crown is going.

Shamrock Rovers ensured they’ll keep the trophy in Tallaght when they beat UCD in midweek. Galway will have to play the side that comes third in the First Division.

Shels and Cork City meet tomorrow night at Tolka Park as the Leesiders attempt to ensure they go up with their hosts. We’ll have a full preview later.

4. #PRO12 Some of Ireland’s World Cup players will turn out for Munster against Aironi tonight in the RaboDirect PRO12 League.

Keith Earls, Conor Murray, Ronan O’Gara, Donnacha Ryan, Paul O’Connell and Denis Leamy have all been named the Munster starting XV to face the Italian side.

For Leinster, Leo Cullen leads a side including the likes of Fergus McFadden, Jonathan Sexton, Rob Kearney, Isaac Boss, Sean Cronin and Mike Ross to Edinburgh

5. #GAA Galway named the man to lead their senior hurlers last night.

Antony Cunningham will be joined by Tom Helebert and Mattie Kenny as part of the new management team.
