The Morning Score: Friday

I hope you’ve had your Weetabix, because there’s a massive weekend of sport in store.

1. #DAEGU Derval O’Rourke (Leevale AC) is safely through to the 100m hurdle semi-final after finishing in second place in her heat in 13.07 earlier.

The championship favourite, Sally Pearson of Australia won the heat in 12.53, which was the fastest qualifying time overall. The semi-final takes place at 11.15am Irish time on Saturday.

There was huge disappointment for Irish record holder Paul Hession (Athenry AC), who will not progress to the 200m semi-final after finishing fourth in his heat in 21.02. We’ll have the details later.

2. #FAI Ireland take on Slovakia in tonight’s crucial Euro 2012 qualifier in Lansdowne Rd this evening.

Giovanni Trapattoni named his side last night – Kevin Kilbane’s run of 66 consecutive internationals ends due to injury with Stephen Ward drafted in. Up front, the in-form Shane Long partners skipper Robbie Keane ahead of Kevin Doyle.

We’ll go minute-by-minute from the Aviva Stadium. Join us from 7pm.

3. #GAA It’s almost here. Tipperary and Kilkenny will contest a mouth-watering All-Ireland SHC final at Croke Park on Sunday. We’ll liveblog that one too.

Michael Cahill may have to be replaced at corner-back by manager Declan Ryan after the player suffered an injury at training last night in Thurles.

4. #RWC2011 We showed you pictures and video from the reception Ireland’s rugby stars received in Queenstown yesterday. Today Gordon Darcy has been given the all clear to join his team-mates in New Zealand after a scan on his calf.

He’ll head out with Leinster team-mate Cian Healy tomorrow.

5. #GOLF Nick Dougherty continued to lead the Omega European Masters after five holes of his second round in Switzerland today – along with Englishman Gary Boyd.

6. #YOUTUBE We brought you our favourite clips of the week yesterday. This is my favourite.
