The accidental clash which injured GAA ref Padraig Hughes

Hughes was injured following this collision with Eamonn Doherty in Ballybofey on Sunday.

REFEREE PADRAIG HUGHES was stretchered off injured during Sunday’s Division 1 clash between Donegal and Dublin in Ballybofey.

Hughes appeared to twist his ankle early in the second half following an accidental clash with Donegal defender Eamonn Doherty.

He was replaced by Michael Duffy for the remainder of the game which finished in a 1-10 to 0-13 draw, relegating Donegal to Division 2.
