Kenny Cunningham laid into Tahiti after the 10-0 defeat to Spain

The ex-Ireland captain questioned their professionalism and pride on the RTE panel last night.

AFTER CONFEDERATIONS CUP underdogs Tahiti got spanked 10-0 by reigning world and European champions Spain last night, RTE analyst Kenny Cunningham had a go at their lack of professionalism.

The Oceania champions, whose squad is made up entirely of part-timers with the exception of striker Marama Vahirua, celebrated Fernando Torres’ missed penalty and looked pleased with their efforts at the final whistle.

But the former Ireland and Birmingham defender wasn’t happy.

I’m a little surprised to see those smiling face at the end of the game, because that’s a 10-0 rout,” he said, sitting alongside Richie Sadlier.
