Another baffling decision at the World Cup as Swiss have perfectly-good goal ruled out

Keeping with the narrative of the tournament so far, Josip Drmic was incorrectly judged to have been offside.

THOUGH SWITZERLAND DID grab an incredible victory right at the death of their Group E clash with Ecuador, they should’ve been out of sight before Haris Seferovic’s superb late winner.

With twenty minutes to go and the game delicately poised at 1-1,  Ricardo Rodriguez played a through-ball into the path of Granit Xhaka who dummied, allowing it run through to Josip Drmic who forced it home from close range.

But, the linesman’s flag was up and the goal was incorrectly ruled out for offside.

Inexplicably, Mexico had two good goals disallowed in their clash with Cameroon while there was another debatable penalty decision in the Spain/Holland game when Diego Costa was deemed to have been fouled by Stefan de Vrij.
