STEPHEN KENNY AND Mark McNulty were the big winners last night as Dublin’s Conrad Hotel hosted the annual SSE Airtricity/SWAI Personality of the Year awards.
Kenny, who had to deal with the passing of his father yesterday morning, picked up Personality of the Year after leading Dundalk to the Premier Division title while McNulty was named Goalkeeper of the Year for his displays between the sticks for runners-up Cork City.

Former Ireland boss Liam Tuohy was recognised for his contribution to Irish football with the Special Merit Award and current management team Martin O’Neill and Roy Keane were in attendance too.
They had words of encouragement for Puskas Award finalist Stephanie Roche, who leaves for Zurich tomorrow with her father, brother and boyfriend, Bray Wanderers midfielder Dean Zambra, ahead of Monday’s Ballon d’Or ceremony.
