Stormy weather makes for spectacular surfing in Mullaghmore

Not everybody is sick and tired of the high winds.

THE STORMY Atlantic weather made for spectacular surfing conditions in Mullaghmore this morning.

With high winds still sweeping the country, crowds flocked to the Sligo village in the hope of catching some decent waves.

“They were very good photography conditions,” Declan Kilgannon, owner of Offshore Watersports, told TheScore.ie.

“Unfortunately the swell didn’t peak quite as high as people would have hoped.”

Mullaghmore is seen as one of the world’s top surfing locations and was included last year as one of USA Today’s most surprising surf spots.
