STEVE COLLINS AND Roy Jones Junior are set to bring an end to the speculation and finally get it on.
Well, sort of.
With plenty of talk but no firm plans for a fight between the two, Collins and Jones Jr are set to appear an “an exclusive no-holds-barred Q&A” in the Red Cow Convention Centre, Dublin next month.
Collins, a two-weight world champion, raised eyebrows earlier this year when he announced shock plans to come out of retirement for one last fight at the age of 48.
A possible bout against Jones Jr, 44, has been billed as a grudge match with Collins claiming that the American dodged a match-up when both men were at their prime.
Although the Dubliner told reporters last week that he has been granted a licence to return to the ring, there does not appear to have been any movement on a showdown.
“I always felt that he ducked the opportunity to fight me at the height of my career and probably with good reason,” Collins said.
“Now, he can answer that question in front of Irish boxing fans on 9 May and I’m really looking forward to getting some answers.”
We’ll open the floor to the cynics here…

Monaghan looked good and deserved to win, bring on the championship, loyal to the royal

Monaghan very impressive , physically big and imposing and their ability to retain possession and wait for space to appear inside commendable .. They won’t be far away in Ulster Cship.

A news story that 4 people may care about
That’s 4 more people than who care about what you have to say.
The 150 plus red thumbs that you got indicates otherwise.

“No championships are won in April”
Where did the get the cup it looks like something you get in a lucky bag
I can’t believe the bitterness from some of the Meath followers on here.
I suppose once a meathman always a meathman.
