There was a plethora of behind-the-back skill in US sports over the weekend

NBA star Steph Curry channelled his inner Quade Cooper in an exhibition game.

IT IS QUIET enough on the American sports landscape at the moment as two of their marquee leagues, the NFL and the NBA, have yet to start their seasons. But the USA basketball team are about to play in the FIBA Basketball World Cup and Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors wheeled out this slick behind-the-back pass to James Harden in their final exhibition game.

That telepathic delivery wasn’t the only stateside trick play of the weekend. Will Beaden from Archer high school in Georgia, executed a perfect fake punt with the help of this lovely piece of skill.

It would be remiss of me to write a story about behind-the-back passes and not mention arguably its greatest exponent, Quade Cooper. The Aussie magician may not be in favour with the national team at the moment, but we will always remember moments like this.
