Hosts France face Iceland in the final quarter-final of the tournament this evening.

Fans approaching the stadium during the afternoon were temporarily stopped as the vehicle was investigated before the explosion at around 5.30pm local time.

Local media reports that police blew open the door of the illegally parked car, which was located in an area outside the ground it shouldn’t have been.

The security scare is not expected to delay the game, which kicks-off at 8pm Irish time.
