St Pat's draw Legia Warszawa in Champions League qualifying round

Former Blackburn and Man United defender Henning Berg has a date in Inchicore.

EXPECT TO SEE Warsaw packed with St Pat’s fans when the Saints begin their European adventure next month.

Liam Buckley’s side have been drawn against Polish champions Legia Warszawa in the second qualifying round of the Champions League.

In the Europa League qualifiers Sligo Rovers, Dundalk and Derry City face trips to Lithuania, Luxembourg and Wales respectively.

Pat’s clash with Legia takes place on 15/16 and 22/23 July, either side of the Ekstraklasa’s season opener on 18 July.

They were then pitted against Trabzonspor, Lazio and Apollon Limasso in the Europa League group stages where they won just one of their six games.

Elsewhere in the draw, Cliftonville have been drawn against Debrecen of Hungary while Celtic will play KR Reykjavik.

In the Europa League, new Sligo boss John Coleman faces a tough test against FK Banga. The Lithuanians are currently seventh in the A Lyga table after 18 games.

Dundalk play AS Jeunesse Esch of Luxembourg while Derry City will take on Aberystwyth Town of the Welsh Premier League.

The Europa League tites take place on 3 and 10 July.
