WORLD FAMOUS CLUBS Real Madrid, Ajax Amsterdam and Arsenal will all enter teams in the St Kevin’s Boys Academy Cup later this year.
Launched by former Ireland manager John Giles and FAI chief executive John Delaney yesterday, the U13s tournament is hosted by DDSL club St Kevin’s Boys between 18-20 April at Shanowen Road in Dublin.

Now in its sixth year running, the cup competition began in 2009 to celebrate the anniversary of St Kevin’s.
It has in that short space of time become one of the elite European tournaments for boys at Under 13 level,” a statement from St Kevin’s reads.
“This year we are delighted that such prestigious world class clubs such as Real Madrid and Ajax have accepted our invitation to take part along with current holders Celtic FC and former two time winners Arsenal FC.
Premier League club West Brom and hosts St Kevin’s make up the six-team competition.
“You can’t underestimate how much this will help players at underage level here, as they see what they can achieve, while also helping to focus local and national attention on the underage game – something we so vitally need right now,” added Noel Rock, the Fine Gael representative for Santry, Whitehall, Beaumont and Glasnevin.
