Sports Film of the Week: The mystery of the Rimet trophy

This is another of the recent ESPN 30 for 30 Soccer Stories.

Title: The mystery of the Rimet Trophy

Premise: Named after former FIFA president Jules Rimet, the original World Cup trophy was awarded to teams from 1930, when the tournament began, to 1970 when Brazil won it for a third time and were permitted to keep it.

However, it was mysteriously stolen from the Brazilian federation in 1983 and was never recovered. Directed by Bretty Ratner and narrated by Edward Norton, this ESPN 30 for 30 Soccer Stories film tells the story of the trophy, a Nazi play to steal it during World War II and an outrageous bid for a replica.
