The Ireland women’s hockey team play the third and final game of their series against India this evening, hoping to avenge last night’s 2-1 defeat.

Football: Airtricity League

There are nine live games in the Premier and First Division tonight including unbeaten Cork City at home to Drogheda United in Turner’s Cross (7.45pm), a Dublin derby between St Pat’s and Bohemians in Inchicore (7.45pm), and league leaders Dundalk versus Shamrock Rovers in Oriel Park (7.45pm).

Saturday

Rugby: Last day of the Ulster Bank League

It’s all up for grabs in the final round of Ulster Bank League matches. Old Belvedere travel to play Garryowen in Dooradoyle knowing that a win will seal Division 1A. If they don’t win, Clontarf can gazump them with a win of their own against Ballynahinch in Castle Avenue.

All games kick off at 2.35pm.

GAA: U21 Football double-header (O’Moore Park)

Portlaoise hosts a cracking double-header of All-Ireland U21 football semi-finals on Saturday afternoon. Cork take on Roscommon (3pm) and Dublin face a Cavan side fresh from their fourth straight provincial title (4.45pm).

Get out and see some of the country’s best young footballers.

Pro12: Connacht v Munster (6.15pm)

It’s seven weeks since Connacht last played in the Sportsground so expect the place to be absolutely hopping when Munster visit. Rob Penney’s side will be looking for a win as they continue their push for home seeding in the playoffs.

Sunday

GAA: National Hurling League semis (Gaelic Grounds)

You can’t beat a trip to Limerick for a double-header of National Hurling League semi-finals. Kilkenny and Galway are first up at 2pm, followed by All-Ireland champions Clare against their Munster rivals Tipperary at 4pm.

Rugby: Towns Cup Final (Tullow RFC, 3.30pm)

The 89th Towns Cup Final sees Leinster 1B league champions Ashbourne against their divisional rivals Kilkenny. Tickets are available on the gate at Tullow RFC.

Horse Racing: Fairyhouse (first race 2.40pm)

The annual two-day festival at the County Meath track kicks off with the Powers Gold Cup the highlight on Sunday. If you’re not into racing, there’s live music as well as a bouncy castle, face painting and more for kids.

Monday

Horse Racing: Boylesports Irish Grand National (first race 2.45pm)

30 runners go to post for this year’s Irish Grand National, the main event on an eight-race card at Fairyhouse.
