TOTTENHAM HAVE REACHED an agreement to bring Valencia striker Roberto Soldado to the club.
Soldado, 28, has been linked with a move to White Hart Lane for much of the close-season and Valencia president Amadeo Salvo revealed yesterday that a deal for the Spain international was close.
Spurs have now confirmed that an agreement has been reached with the Liga outfit, with the striker arriving in the Premier League after three years at the Mestalla for a fee believed to be in the region of £26million (€29.8m).
Soldado will bolster a Tottenham forward line that currently boasts just two senior strikers in Jermain Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor.
