New ESPN documentary about Snoop Dogg's college football prospect son

The five-part series will follow Cordell Broadus and his dad through the final year in high school.

SNOOP DOGG IS a legend in the music industry but his son has taken a different path by attempting to carve out a career in American football.

17-year-old Cordell Broadus, a wide receiver at Bishop Gorman High School in Nevada, is one of the country’s top college prospects this year and the likes of USC and Notre Dame are reportedly hoping to secure his services.

The first of a five-part ESPN documentary called ‘Snoop & Son: A Dad’s Dream’ will air in the US on 14 January and features behind-the-scene footage of the pair’s relationship.

“I’m more of a friend than I am a father,” Snoop says in the trailer below. “Because a father to me is someone who is a disciplinarian, who you’re really scared of. It’s fear and respect. It’s more just love with me.”

“Everybody is trying to see if Snoop Dogg’s son can really play football or is it all hype,” adds Cordell.
