WE LOVE TECHNOLOGY and new ideas so when the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) announced that a panoramic crowd shot (Fanpic) would be taken at the Aviva Stadium on Tuesday evening, we were intrigued.
Irish-owned software company Huggity will capture the image – the first to be taken at a sporting event in Ireland – during the match against Armenia, and the picture will then be available to view on www.fai.ie/fanpic next Thursday morning (October 13th) from 10am.
Anyone in attendance will be able to go online and ‘Tag’ themselves in the crowd using Facebook – giving themselves a chance to win one of five pairs of tickets for the Republic of Ireland’s next international in November. The overall winner will also receive a signed jersey.
Smile.... it could be you!
