CHAMPIONS SLIGO ROVERS dominate the nominations for this year’s Soccer Writers’ Association of Ireland (SWAI) awards.
Bit O’Red boss Ian Baraclough and club captain Danny Ventre head up the six-man shortlist for the Personality of the Year Award.
Jason McGuinness and Mark Quigley — both of whom have since left the Showgrounds to return to Shamrock Rovers — are also recognised for their contribution to the club’s first league title since 1977.
Mick Cooke, who guided Drogheda United to the EA Sports Cup and a runner-up finish in the Airtricity League, and Derry City’s FAI Cup-winning manager Declan Devine complete the list.

Rogers is joined by last year’s winner Gerard Doherty of Derry City and Gabriel Sava of Drogheda United.
