Bray Wanderers will move one point ahead of bottom placed team Longford Town thanks to a 0-0 draw in Sligo.
Harry Kenny’s Wanderers held their own against a lacklustre Sligo side, and were deserving of their point.
In what was a slow burner at The Showgrounds, and it was Harry Kenny’s Bray Wanderers who had the better chances to go ahead in the first-half.
An early shot from Dylan Connolly stung the palms of Micheál Schlingermann with just minutes on the clock, before Mark Salmon’s goal from an Andrew Lewis cross was ruled out for offside.

Lewis was a bright spark for the visitors in the first-half, coming close with 30 minutes gone from close range, but ultimately failing to trouble Schlingermann in goal.
Jimmy Keohane did well to get on to the end of a John Russell cross for the home side, but his attempt was well wide of the post.
In reality, neither goalkeeper had a whole lot to do in the first-half, but the Rovers net-minder was certainly the busier of the two.
Whatever Dave Robertson said to his players at half-time appeared to have had the desired effect, as Rovers looked to go ahead in the second-half.
Efforts from Keohane and Kieran Sadlier after the re-start had Peter Cherrie alert, but it was the visitors who really should have gone ahead.
Ryan Brennan’s shot was forced away by Schlingermann, but only into the path of Lewis, who failed to connect properly striking the side-netting.
The busy Dylan Connolly almost caught Schlingermann off guard with his powerful long-range shot, but the Mayo man was not to be beaten.
Kenny will certainly be the happier of the two managers, following a decent performance from his side in the North-West.
