Slideshow: The ten most watched sporting events of 2011...

No surprises about first place, with the Dubs and Kerry attracting more than one million viewers.

RTÉ HAS ANNOUNCED that they had live coverage of all ten of the most watched sporting events in Ireland in 2011.

The national broadcaster released figures showing that the All-Ireland Football Final between Kerry and Dublin picked up over a million viewers, and this was followed by the hurling final between Kilkenny and Tipperary.

Third place also went to Gaelic Games, with the football semi-final between Dublin and Donegal chalking up 700,000 viewers.
