SKY SPORTS NEWS presenter Rachel Wyse is expected to front Sky Sports’ Gaelic games coverage should the British broadcaster land a slice of the GAA’s new broadcast arrangement.
Sky are believed to be close to sealing a deal with Croke Park chiefs with an announcement expected in the coming days.
Today, Paddy Power have suspended betting on who the station’s hurling and football presenter will be following a string of large bets on Wyse in some North Dublin shops.
The 28-year-old was installed as evens favourite when the market opened last week but was backed into 1/10 before that ‘relentless backing’ yesterday prompted betting to be suspended.

“This looks to be the mother of all one horse races in the eyes of our bettors as we’ve taken over €1,500 on Wyse and not a bean elsewhere,” a spokesperson said. “Punters seemed to be willing to back her at any price and we’re definitely running scared on this one.”
