Sky Sports News are covering the Hawk-Eye debacle

The problems with the device are especially newsworthy in light of the introduction of goal-line technology in soccer.

WITH GOAL-LINE technology just having been introduced into Premier League football, the use of electronic assistance in sport is clearly a big talking point on both sides of the Irish Sea currently.

Consequently, given that English football watchers have been engaging in much speculation over whether these changes will prove successful, the similar implementation of the Hawk-Eye system in GAA is naturally a subject that would interest them.

So, after its much-discussed malfunction during last weekend’s All-Ireland minor semi-final, it’s little surprise that it didn’t take Sky Sports  News’ reporters too long to pick up on the story.
