With the hosts holding a two goal advantage heading into the final 10 minutes, Leeds thought they’d found a way back into the game when Liam Cooper bundled the ball home from a free-kick.
However, Sheffield Wednesday had been given permission to make a substitute before the set-piece and Fernando Forestieri hadn’t left the field of play before the goal was scored.
Taylor initially awarded the goal as the Leeds players wheeled away in celebration but protests from the Wednesday bench resulted in him reversing his decision and ordering the free-kick to be retaken.
