Shay Given sits out Ireland squad training at Malahide

Aston Villa shot-stopper takes it easy at Malahide but is not an injury concern ahead of Estonia showdown

IRELAND’S EURO 2012 hopefuls continued their preparations for the play-off ties against Estonia with a training session at Gannon Park, Malahide this morning.

But goalkeeper Shay Given sat out the action with a reported stiff neck.

The veteran No 1 is not an injury concern ahead of Friday’s first-leg however.

Darren Randolph of Motherwell will now link up with the panel as David Forde has left Dublin injured.

Richard Dunne, Keith Andrews and Keith Fahey also watched training from the sidelines with minor niggles, while striking options Simon Cox, Jonathon Walters and skipper Robbie Keane all played on the same side in the practice game.

Keane flew in from LA this morning.

Trap was in good form when he met the media yesterday evening. There is no press conference scheduled today but reporters were afforded an update after training.
