IF THIS ISN’T the shot of the World Snooker Championship, there’s something very special coming down the tracks over the next 10 days at the Crucible.
Shaun ‘The Magician’ Murphy lived up to his nickname with this spectacular pot in his second round clash with Ronnie O’Sullivan yesterday.

With the cue ball tucked in behind the yellow, it took a serious snooker brain to even spot the shot that Murphy was contemplating.
His execution was perfect, playing the ball off the right cushion and then the top cushion with so much side that it screwed back up the table, kissing the right cushion once more for good measure before giving the red the most deft touch to knock it into the middle pocket.
Murphy may need more miracles, however, as O’Sullivan leads their best-of-25 match by six frames to two.
