The pair picked up the PWC GAA-GPA monthly awards after they led their respective counties to provincial titles last month.

Walsh scored 0-8 in the Tribe’s Connacht final victory over Roscommon, while Horgan’s 11-point haul helped the Rebels to success in the Munster decider against Clare.

The Glen Rovers ace contributed 1-42 during Cork’s provincial campaign and is the sixth highest scorer in the All-Ireland SHC. John Meyler’s side take on Limerick in Croke Park in the All-Ireland semi-final on Sunday week.

Kilkerrin-Clonberne attacker Walsh chipped in with 0-16 during Galway’s Connacht-winning campaign where they defeated Mayo, Sligo and Roscommon.

He added a further five points last weekend during their win over Kerry in the Super 8s opener.

I don’t get the criticism of the man.
Chelsea were already off the pace in the league and basically out of the champions league when he took over.
He has them in the latter stages of two competitions and could well win both and yet all he gets is knocked.
Any club in England would be lucky to have him and hicks and Gillette left liverpool in an awful state, not rafa

Of course he wants to manage a top club. He doesn’t know how to manage without throwing money at new, usually terrible, signings. Mancini and Mourinho used to have Serie A won by November then they give Benitez a job and he makes a fool of himself every week by telling the press he needs 2 years to build etc. He did well with Valencia although they had good players back then and fair enough he won the CL but he left Liverpool in a terrible state.

Why would a big club go for such a small manager?
