Shane Lowry gave out cans of Guinness to fans at the Phoenix Open

The Offaly man is six shots off the lead in Arizona.

SHANE LOWRY IS currently in the hunt heading into the final round of the Phoenix Open.

The Offaly golfer sits six shots off the lead on ten under par thanks to an encouraging 66 on Saturday, with South Korea’s Byeong Hun An out in front on -16 and Martin Laird of Scotland his nearest rival.

Lowry surprised fans during the third round when he showed up to the famous Skybox 16th hole with a bag of cans and began to hand them out.

His generous gesture was caught on video by the PGA Tour’s Snapchat:
