Shane Long set to complete £12million move to Southampton today

Hull are set to turn a quick profit on the Tipperary native.

SOUTHAMPTON HAVE HAD £12million bid for Irish international Shane Long accepted by Hull.

The Tipperary native expects to complete the deal today.

The former Cork City striker only joined the Tigers last January from West Brom in a £7m switch, scoring four goals in the second half of the season.

The Saints have seen the spine of their team leave this summer, including forwards Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana for Liverpool.

New Southampton boss, the Dutch great, Ronald Koeman has been recommended Long by St Mary’s scouts after a move for Manchester United’s Javier Hernandez failed.
