SHANE LONG IS suspended for Friday night’s World Cup qualifier with the Faroe Islands.
The West Brom striker took advantage of his few days off and took a trip down to Tenerife to get some sun (should’ve stayed in Ireland Shane). He is due to get married on 15 June so will also miss the friendly with Spain in New York.

Before jetting off on his holidays, Long told Metro that while he is happy with the positive changes Steve Clark has brought to WBA, he is not concerned about signing a contract extension just yet.
He said, “There are a few lads up in the air about contracts and it will be interesting to see what happens over the summer. I have a year and an option, so probably two. I have still got two years left at West Brom and that’s what I am focusing on at the moment.”
