FORMER ROSCOMMON AND St Brigid’s goalkeeper Shane Curran will begin his managerial career with Brigid’s club rivals Padraig Pearses, according to The Irish Times.
After confirming earlier this month to the newspaper that he would be taking the “inevitable” step into management, ‘Cake’ has been linked with a number of clubs.
After retiring just last month at the age of 43 Curran will have a tough task ahead of him as Padraig Pearses have never won a senior county championship.
With an All-Ireland club medal and a Connacht senior championship medal to his name Curran is certainly of the calibre needed to lead Pearses to their first title.

And with county players such as Niall Daly and Roscommon captain Niall Carty on their books Pearses will have a county title well within their sights.
The 2003 Allstar nominee recently released his autobiography while also heading his own very successful global company.
