SHAMROCK ROVERS BOOKED their place in the EA Sports Cup finale tonight thanks to a 3-2 win over Sligo Rovers.
The Hoops will face Drogheda in a repeat of last year’s decider on 21 September.
Kieran Djilali opened the scoring for the visitors after a minute before Karl Shephard and Gary McCabe sent the home side ahead at the interval.
McCabe scored again midway through the second period while Anthony Elding notched a second for Sligo. Hoops manager Trevor Croly was suspended tonight so watched from the stands.
