SHAMROCK ROVERS FACE a tricky second leg, after drawing 0-0 with FK Ekranas at Tallaght Stadium this evening.
Rovers had enough chances to win the game and looked the better team throughout.
Ronan Finn missed a one-on-one, and Gary Twigg also came close, while the visitors rarely threatened in the opening 45 minutes.
The second half unfolded in a similar fashion.
Finn struck the crossbar late on, while Twigg and substitute Chris Turner also failed to make the most of decent opportunities.
The result means Rovers face an uphill task, as they travel to Lithuania for the second leg on 24 July.
There’s usually not much love between Waterford united & Rovers but I think almost every LOI fan is hoping that SRFC do as well as last year.
Are you crazy?
Ah C’mon Fergus. a rising tide lifts all boats. I know some of their fans are a bit of a dose but most of them are alright.
Ah we will have to do it the hard way.
A score draw is all that is needed. Tough task, yes but not impossible!
