Sexton to make 100th Leinster appearance v Clermont

Meanwhile, Joe Schmidt has handed Andrew Goodman his tournament debut alongside record breaker Gordon D’Arcy.

JONATHAN SEXTON WILL will make his 100th appearance for Leinster in Sunday’s Heineken Cup Round 3 clash against Clermont Auvergne in Stade Marcel Michelin.

The Ireland out-half will partner Isaac Boss at half-back.

There’s a mixture of youth and experience at centre as Gordon D’Arcy becomes the province’s most capped Heineken Cup player of all time, turning out for the 88th time in the competition alongside tournament debutant Andrew Goodman.

Mike Ross makes his 75th appearance for Leinster alongside Sean Cronin and Cian Healy in the front row.

The pack is made up entirely of Irish players, led by captain Leo Cullen, including the Ireland ‘A’ lock Damian Browne.

Clermont, one of the favourites for this year’s tournament, will be hoping to take revenge for Leinster’s 19-15 win in the semi-finals of last year’s competition.
