Setanta Ó hAilpín delisted by Aussie Rules side

Is it too late to get the Young Hurler of the Year back for Sunday, JBM?

AFL OUTFIT GREATER Western Sydney have axed Setanta Ó hAilpín today.

The former Cork hurler is one of five players ‘delisted’ by the franchise.

“I want to thank all these players for their contribution to the club and wish them all the very best for the future,” GWS Giants manager Graeme Allan said.

The former Young Hurler of the Year has featured just eight times in his time with the newly-formed club — over the course of two seasons — after he suffered a cruciate injury on his debut.

Ó hAilpín left Donal O’Grady’s Cork set-up almost a decade ago after All-Ireland final defeat to Kilkenny in ’03 to join Carlton.
